Proving just how lucrative (and desirable) Québec’s sweet stuff really is, 18 people have been arrested on suspicion of stealing 2.7 million kilograms of maple syrup (worth $18 million CAD) from Saint Louis-de-Blandford in the Arthabaska region of Québec.
